Description:  A vacuum cleaner's static discharge is a build-up of electricity when material, such as dust, pellets, wood chips, flour, etc., goes through a vacuum hose and creates a static charge.  The charge has the potential to cause a safety hazard for employees and the work environment.

The most effective and easiest way to dissipate an electrostatic discharge is when conductive carbon black is added to the hose’s polymer matrix.  Conductive carbon blacks are special branched carbons with a graphitic structure that are able to transport the flow of electrons and dissipate their electrostatic charge.

The following two hoses enable the static-charge to travel the entire length of the hose to ensure a grounded, shock-free working environment when using connecting tools and vacuum cleaners.  Both types provide end-to-end, complete dissipation of static electricity when properly attached to a grounded vacuum cleaner or vacuums that have been modified to create a grounded solution.
