Removes Calcite on Clay Brick (only)

• A presoak softener to facilitate the removal of heavy calcite deposits on clay brick

Calcite (calcium carbonate) will appear as a thick whitish deposit that usually forms over time.  Calcite most commonly forms when excess moisture passes through the mortar joints, evaporating leaving behind white deposits on clay brick.

• Must be followed with an application of NMD 80 to ensure uniformity of appearance

• In cases where color sensitive substrates or mortars are being used, EF-Fortless should be used instead of NMD 80 as the second step.

Description

Used in conjunction with NMD 80 (or EF-Fortless), this combination will ensure the complete removal of calcite.

First apply the Calcite Presoak undiluted and allow it to dwell on the surface for approximately five minutes.  Repeat this process without rinsing until little pin holes have opened up.

Then apply NMD 80 diluted four parts water to one part solution (4:1) without rinsing off the Calcite Presoak; allow a five to ten minute dwell time. Rinse completely to get the desired results.
