  --- During the cutting process, the carbide nuggets are not dislodged from the matrix like conventional abrasives.  Instead, they simply dull and lose their sharp edges,  the  blade is then re-sharpened by reversing the rotation direction of the blade

  --- A special manufacturing process assures the retention of the carbide nuggets in the segments to the steel core
