Redi-Lock® Plate, 2 PCD w/ Diamond Bar Used to remove medium-thick coatings, acrylics, epoxies, mastic, thin set, paint. The PCD’s remove the coatings while the diamond segment (25 grit) prevents a cheese-grade effect on the floor; the combination provides coating removal and a conventional grind in one pass. WEAR BAR or BUTTON? Without the diamond wear bar or tungsten carbide button, the PCD is able to cut deeper, making it possible to remove even the toughest coatings. 1/4 round PCD's are capable of leaving deep grooves in concrete (a cheese grade effect) and are not recommended to be used on floors that are to be polished. For coating removal on floors that are to be polished, use the Double Arrows or Two Bar Diamonds. DIRECTION OF PCD - PCD's are directional, specific to the rotation of the plate on your machine: clockwise (R) and counterclockwise (L). All Hawk single plate machines rotate counterclockwise (viewed, as you hold the handlebars.) For a single plate rotating counterclockwise, select: Left Direction PCD.
